International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2015

2015 marks the 70th Anniversary of the end of World War II and the liberation of the concentration camps.  The United Nations determined that January 27th each year will be recognized as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.  It was on this date in 1945 that the most well-known death camp, Auschwitz, was liberated by the Russian Army.

On Tuesday, January 27th, the Holocaust Museum & Education Center of Southwest Florida commemorated the anniversary with free admission and a screening of a new video presentation of local Survivors and Liberators.
