‘Fabric of Survival’ on exhibit at Holocaust museum

The Holocaust Museum & Education Center of Southwest Florida presents a unique photographic exhibit this summer on the theme of Holocaust memory. “Fabric of Survival: The Story of Esther Niesental Krinitz as Told through Her Needlework” has been displayed around the world and will be at the center in Naples through Aug. 6.

Esther Niesental Krinitz survived the Holocaust as a teenager in Poland. In 1977, at the age of 50, she started creating large-scale needlework panels telling her story as a way to give her daughters visual context of the memories she so often shared with them.
