Triumph 2018

Reception and Dinner
Featured Speaker:  David Eisenhower

We are pleased to announce that our featured speaker for Triumph 2018 is David Eisenhower. Mr. Eisenhower is the author of Eisenhower at War, an historian, Director of the Institute for Public Service at the Annenberg Public Policy Center, and grandson of General and later President, Dwight D. Eisenhower. As Supreme Allied Commander in World War II, Eisenhower toured a newly liberated concentration camp with some of his generals. He ordered that the camps and their surviving inmates be documented through film and photographs so that no one in the future could deny what happened and claim the Holocaust didn’t take place. He wanted the world to remember and learn from the lessons of the Holocaust.

Triumph 2018 will also honor the Golden Gate Middle School teachers and students who created the classroom project on the Holocaust called Out of The Ashes. They began the project twenty years ago this school year, and it became the genesis in 2001 for our Museum. Through Out of the Ashes, the students carried on the work started by General Eisenhower. Today, the Musem carries on their work through our mission:   teach the lessons of the Holocaust to inspire action against bigotry, hatred and violence.

Your support of Triumph 2018 benefits the Museum’s Education programs, which to date have reached over 175,000 SWFL students grades K-12 and college/university. Event Sponsorships are available. For more information and to receive an invitation, please contact Executive Director Susan Suarez at 239-263-9200 or e-mail  Invitations will be mailed in mid-January.

Hope to see you there!
